Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking Interns to provide technical support on a variety of projects. These positions will be part of Stantec’s Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to address a variety of regulatory, ecological, engineering and environmental planning issues.

Your Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of these positions vary by discipline and include but are not limited to the following: -

  • Assist Project Managers in the management and implementation of various environmental projects.

  • Engineering support could include design, CAD drafting; project documentation (i.e. report preparation, water quality calculations, drainage area delineations, hydrologic calculations, file organization, etc.); construction observation, attendance at client meetings and various project-related tasks.

  • Assist staff conducting research.

  • Conduct fieldwork on a variety of sites.

  • Prepare other project documentation as required.

  • Track the processing of incoming and outgoing project documents.

  • Performing other duties as requested.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office software.

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse array of assignments and duties.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and with a team.

  • Enjoys both field work and office work.

Education and Experience

  • Enrollment or graduated from an engineering program.

  • Two to three years of college education in environmental sciences or engineering and be within approximately 1-2 years of graduation.
