Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Construction Site Manager (CSM), the Construction Coordinator is responsible for receiving, forwarding, reviewing, and tracking all submittals to multiple internal/external reviewers to ensure complete and timely responses. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating commissioning of newly installed equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and Contract Document requirements. Scheduling and coordinating operation and maintenance training, ensuring that documentation and training records are complete, as well as organizing, reviewing and distributing close our documentation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review Contractor submissions for conformance with the Contract Documents prior to sending for technical review by the Designer.

  • Review submissions after review by the Designer, for conformance with the Contract Documents prior to sending back to the Contractor.

  • Tracks, monitors and expedites submittals to ensure they are reviewed and returned within the specified times.

  • Assists the CSM and Construction Engineers with preparation of minutes of meeting, various reports, tracking of outstanding Request for Information (RFIs), Construction Daily Reports (CDRs), Site Safety Observations, etc.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Knowledge and/or experience in construction / contract administration

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proficient at reading drawings and schematics

  • Must acquire a Joint Health Safety Committee (JHSC) certification if elected as a worker member of the JHSC

Education and Experience

  • Three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Position will work in office and field setting. Visits construction sites and works in outside weather conditions.
