Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a Project Manager to support a high-volume environmental services program for a large utility client. The successful candidate will oversee delivery of consulting services and client deliverables, develop improvements to workflow, coordinate with the Program Manager, and direct various tasks and subprograms.

This position can be a remote position within the state of California.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 25 wetlands specialists in providing environmental clearance and permitting for utility-related construction work near wetlands resources.

  • Provide technical review of project documents, feedback and mentoring to junior staff.

  • Engage in the process and identify process improvements to provide added value to our client.

  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure efficient delivery of services.

  • Review workload needs to evaluate and adjust staffing needs as necessary to meet client goals.

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Stantec staff and/or subcontractors.

  • Ability for periodic travel (10%)

  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in Biology, Environmental Studies or similar.

  • Minimum of 8 years' supporting wetland field work (conducting and leading jurisdictional delineations) and permitting efforts

  • Working knowledge of California and federal regulations

  • Experience leading consulting teams of 10 staff, experience leading larger teams preferred.

  • Experience with utility-related environmental services.

  • Experienced project manager with experience in fast-paced environments with highly accurate deliverables.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • SF Area $100,300/CA Other Areas $87,600 - SF Area $150,400/CA Other Areas $140,900 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
