Your Opportunity

Our Tampa office is looking to add an experienced SUE Technician to our dynamic team. The SUE Technician's primary purpose is to support our clients in the identification, designation, excavation, and mapping of sub-surface utilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field investigations and designation of subsurface utilities to the full and complete satisfaction of Stantec’s clients on private and public sector projects.

  • Thorough understanding of the use of ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic signal induction equipment.

  • Perform vacuum excavation to expose, identify, and measure subsurface utilities.

  • Effectively communicate the results of field investigations to Stantec’s clients (both internal and external) through the documentation of work performed on excavation data sheets and through field notes.

  • Ability to effectively train staff in designating and vacuum excavation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 Years SUE Experience.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

  • Experience with Land Surveying equipment a plus.

  • Ability to travel is a plus.

  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.

  • Prior to employment, this position will require the successful passing of a pre-employment drug screen.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
