About the role
As the Pursuits Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects focusing on Transport and Community Development around Australia. You will support the development of sales documents using applicable tools, guidelines, and templates and implement opportunity response plans activities, deliverables, owners, milestones, etc.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys working in an exciting and rapidly changing environment, working within a friendly team, where quick turnarounds are expected, and work covers a variety of sectors, assignments and projects.
This role is a 12-month full-time fixed term contract and can be performed at either of our offices is Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Assist in the conduct of client, competitor, and market research as required in support of client and/or opportunity strategy development.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support the development of documented client strategies and related information.
Plan, organize, and direct all elements of RFP issue to submission, e.g. analyze client request, develop response plan, initiate follow-up go/no go, facilitate strategy review conduct kick-off meeting, manage and work with pursuit team to develop response sections, lead in-progress reviews, schedule technical, pricing and governance reviews, to ensure on-time response delivery within Stantec internal governance requirements.
Assist the Bid Team in preparing written and graphical elements of sales opportunity response documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentations in accordance with Client requirements.
Coordinate the packaging and delivery of bids, proposals, EOIs, tender documents via PDF format, including use of electronic tender sites, and as needed via print/hard copy format.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a bid/ tender or pursuit role at a professional services environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – a high level of MS Word competency is required
Ability to manage competing priorities, be self-motivated and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills to engage/collaborate with a wide variety of staff from a wide variety of backgrounds at various levels of the business
Have a positive outlook and strong work ethic as well as an ability to think outside the box
Excellent written skills, attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
