This senior-level position utilizes experience and relationships to contribute to our strategic growth and tactical leadership in the critical facilities market. The focus will be on engagement with the critical facilities community, leading some of our most technically complex projects, and providing staff mentorship in the delivery of our work.

We are looking for someone who enjoys staying engaged as a technical leader, while using the opportunity leading large projects can provide to grow and manage a supporting practice.
This opportunity is suited to someone currently serving as an experienced Project Engineer and/or Project Manager, looking to leverage their technical expertise and project management/delivery skills into a leadership role.
Your Key Responsibilities
Be a primary contributor to the continued growth of Stantec’s critical facilities practice across North America, largely through support as a technical leader.
Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, and partner firms.
Develop project proposals.
Assist the marketing department with the development of marketing materials and content.
Manage the financial performance, quality control processes, and project delivery for key projects.
Ensure compliance with best practices, including Stantec PM Frameworks Project Involvement:
Work with PMs and SMEs on key projects to develop and deliver client drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables.
Successfully manage projects of significant scope, complexity and revenue budget.
Apply buildings engineering and project management knowledge while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budgets.
Apply strong engineering skills, experience and knowledge to the design and oversight of the design for building projects.
Manage and plan the production resources and workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for engineering projects.
Act as a QC reviewer on Mechanical Engineering projects.
Participate in the mentorship and management of Mechanical project managers, project engineers, designers, and BIM staff.
Maintain awareness of operational, technical or regulatory changes within Mechanical Engineering and the AEC overall.
Oversee Mechanical Engineering Design delivery process and best practices and coordinate with other disciplines.
Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends impacting Stantec's core service offerings and markets and continually strengthens skills.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience successfully delivering Mechanical Engineering consulting to the critical facilities market.
Training and professional experience in project management.
Client consulting experience in a consulting engineering environment.
Proven track record of client development and relationship management.
Education and Experience
Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering plus substantial related professional experience.
Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
