Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently looking for an Entry Level Distribution Designer in the San Diego, California location. Performing AutoCAD and Civil 3D support services in support of Power Distribution Projects around the world.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Produce engineering drawings required for Power Distribution projects around the world, including utilities, dams, waterpower, mining and government projects. Tasks involve drafting and production of geometrics, grading, utility relocations, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control plans.

  • Prepare and manage drawings for bid and construction plan sets across multiple disciplines.

  • Willing and able to produce accurate and detail-oriented work products and collaborate effectively with other members of the engineering design team, potentially across multiple office locations.

  • Able to follow CAD Standards and Company protocol.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Solid computer literacy in MS Office products

  • Ability to work closely with Project Managers, adhere to budget guidelines, schedules and client specifications during the course of the project

  • Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong attention to detail

  • Must maintain a high level of productivity and perform overtime as required.

  • Willing to be flexible with their weekly schedule to support meeting of project milestones and deliverables.

  • Takes initiative on tasks.

  • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

  • Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time.

  • You will be expected to support team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of our health and safety culture

Education and Experience

  • Associate or Technical Degree in Engineering or Computer Aided Drafting or related field preferred

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • CA Other Areas $24.52 Per Hour - CA Other Areas $33.13 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
