Your Opportunity

Stantec is looking for a Project Manager, Transmission and Distribution, to join our team. This role will support an important client with their goal of providing 100% clean energy by 2045!

As part of the project management team, you will assist in the project management of a 500kV transmission line project that achieves corporate goals relating to system capacity, reliability, and financial performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project schedule by collaborating with construction, engineering, and environmental teams.

  • Responsible for all aspects of following the Stantec Project Management (PM) Framework in conjunction with the Program Project Manager, in addition to understanding and adhering to various internal policies and processes.

  • Develop metrics and report monthly data as it relates to project specific milestones and progress.

  • Complete monthly financial reporting and forecasting following Stantec PM Framework requirements.

  • Assist in the successful development and execution of project plans, including safety, scope, cost, cash flow, quality, and risk for the multi-discipline construction project.

  • Lead project team members and direct performance of the team to achieve completion of project tasks on schedule and within budget.

  • Participate in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts and amendments.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Ability to read and understand engineered drawings and diagrams.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relations and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external customers to navigate project conflicts.

  • Manage and track multiple project timelines, budgets, and forecasts, maintaining organized and accurate filing.

  • Recent experience managing projects, including the development of scope, schedule, and budget, and the subsequent monitoring of cost and schedule.

  • Possess intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Office products, Passport Work Management, Asset Suite, and PeopleSoft

  • Primavera, Procore

With knowledge of:

  • Scheduling theory including Critical Path Method (CPM)

  • Project tracking and report development

  • Cross-project reporting

  • The latest methods, materials, estimating, and equipment used in construction.

  • Specifications and regulations pertaining to the safe design, construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities.

  • Utility construction techniques, equipment, systems, operations, and materials management is preferred.

Education and Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in engineering, electric utility, or construction industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of Project Management techniques and practices.

  • Understanding of general engineering, design, and construction principles related to the electric utility industry.

  • PMP Certification preferred.

If candidate is located outside of Boise, Idaho, frequent travel will be required to client site.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $93,400 - $135,400 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
