Your Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our Regional Marketing & Communications team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. This is a great opportunity to learn what it is like to be a Marketing Specialist in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The intern will be completely immersed in the day-to-day activities of the Marketing team including assisting in the preparation of a wide variety of proposals, prequalification documents, PowerPoint presentations, updating resumes and entering information into Stantec’s databases, and other projects as assigned.

We have an opening for a Marketing Summer Intern in our Rochester, NY office. This position will work alongside the Regional Marketing & Communications team and support a team of Marketing professionals.

The marketing intern will work approximately 24 hours per week for 10 weeks from hire date.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to prepare and produce qualification, proposals, and presentation materials.

  • Help to maintain Stantec’s internal systems for information management related to people and projects, pursuits, and promotional activity.

  • Responsible for general administrative duties, including data entry, photocopying, scanning, and filing.

  • Assist with coordinating conferences and tradeshows, community engagement, advertising, and general collateral and communications development.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and web-based interfaces.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a group, as well as independently.

Education and Experience

Enrolled in college and pursuing a degree in business management, marketing, communications or related field.
