Stantec is seeking talented CAD Technician to join our Transportation Electrical Infrastructure team in Rochelle Park, NJ. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of the transportation team, the CAD Technician produces construction documents to fulfill clients’ goals. This position may also be responsible to QA/QC construction documents, provide design ideas and solutions, archive files and maintain electronic records per company and client standards, and train or mentor other CAD Designers/Operators.
Relevant basic drawing elements for this position include, but are not limited to, wiring diagrams, lighting and electrical equipment layouts, equipment elevations, panel schedules, and electrical construction details. Relevant projects may include, but are not limited to, roadway lighting, architectural lighting, electrical distribution, parks, airports, transit, and renewable energy.
Create, maintain, and edit design drawings and construction plans as required utilizing Microstation and Autodesk software packages.
Preparing high quality plans by utilizing engineering calculations, notes, sketches, etc. as prepared by engineers.
Streamline production processes by creating templates including standard drawings, detail, and templates for various agencies, clients, and localities.
Troubleshoot CAD software problems such as, printing, text problems, lineweights, batch plots, and reference alignment issues.
Maintain CAD folders, file naming, and drawing information in compliance with client and Stantec standards.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Relevant software programs may include MicroStation, InRoads, REVIT, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge and skills required includes codes and design requirements specific to local geographic market.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Education and Experience
4-8 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD and/or Microstation software for an Architectural/Engineering consulting firm.
A.A.S. or B.S. in Drafting/Design or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience or accreditation, preferred.
Autodesk Certification, preferred.
Bentley Microstation Certification, preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time.
