Stantec are looking to recruit a Technical Director to take over the leadership of our Clean Water Network Modelling discipline. Our Clean Water Network Modelling team help deliver highly technical / sustainable design to our Water clients across the UK & Ireland.
This key role will help shape the current and future direction of the Water Network and Leakage Market Sector. You will be leading a team of circa 35 staff on a varied portfolio of work, from large capital investment projects such as the Water for Life Hampshire project through to feasibility, detailed design and to help bring in more business across the UK & Ireland.
This is a senior level role within Stantec which will require a strong technical understanding of Clean Water Network Modelling, working with major Water clients across the country. As a TDL, you will have the chance to shape our clean water network modelling resources and capabilities to meet the challenges of the future, supporting our drive to provide enhanced digital services to new and existing clients.
The role will be initially focused on two things - making sure we have the right resources across the country so we can deliver our promises to our clients. In addition, you will be expected to lead on project delivery and support bid preparation, making sure we can further succeed in this sector.
You will sit in the Water leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. In addition to the engineering responsibilities, you will be leading on business development, participating in the strategic development of the practice, building the team and supporting all parts the Stantec business.
In terms of location, you can be based anywhere - we are open and flexibility. We have offices across the entire UK and in Ireland. We cater for all personal needs and work on a Hybrid model of home / office working.

developing fit for purpose solutions
promoting sustainable and no-build solutions
Drive low carbon solutions across the team
asset strategy and optimisation of existing assets
development and application of new technologies
develop and support SMART Network solutions
collaborative working and supply chain integration
We are looking for candidates who are preferably chartered and with experience within Water Network Modelling. You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work collaboratively across relevant market sectors.
