We are seeking Environmental Planners from Senior to Principal level to join our team on a permanent basis. These positions are national roles, with the opportunity to be based in Reading, Bristol, Cambridge, Warrington, Edinburgh or London. We can offer you a mix of home and office working which will help maintain a good work life balance and effective team working.
Our broad based growth means we are supporting projects across multiple sectors including major development (new communities, regeneration, employment, etc.), energy and transport developments helping to secure and implement development consents. Our work currently includes a range of nationally significant infrastructure projects such as supporting a new crossing of the River Thames, Sizewell C and Water for Life Hampshire; establishing an internationally important low carbon smart campus at Gravity (generating 7,500 new jobs); and creating new garden communities including in Oxfordshire and Essex. and.
As we are currently supporting some of the country’s most significant projects, we are seeking a candidate whose ambition matches our own. Your tasks will include supporting the planning and delivery of regeneration, development and infrastructure projects as appropriate while advising through the development lifecycle. You will prepare Environmental Impact Assessments as well as environmental and planning reports.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a truly multi-disciplinary environment, giving access to a broad knowledge base with the support of experts across the business. It is anticipated that the role will include supporting the delivery of a broad range of environmental planning work streams, to deliver integrated environmental services.
You will have strong experience and understanding of Environmental Planning and will have a BSc or MSc.
You will have knowledge of different consenting regimes development management procedures (Town and Country Planning, Planning Act, Hybrid Bill, etc.). You will have experience in engaging with clients and liaising with all levels of management both internally and externally.
Ideally the applicant will be able to demonstrate competency and flexibility to meet the demands of the role.
