Redefine your personal best.

Our expanding workload in groundwater resources and contaminated land-related work means that we are actively recruiting to support our growing team specialising in these areas. We are seeking energetic and innovative staff that can deliver our solution-oriented services to our existing and new clients.

Stantec is looking for a Hydrogeologist to supervise the hydrogeological and environmental aspects of existing projects across the UK. This position offers the potential for experience in a wide range of interesting and challenging hydrogeological projects and the potential for strong career growth for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate. A significant commitment to obtain chartership is essential and progress to chartership will be fully supported.

As a Hydrogeologist with 3 to 8 years of experience you will be familiar with the regulatory, business and policy environment in which our clients operate, and have the capacity to communicate effectively with our clients. You will have a Hydrogeology MSc or a PhD with at least 3 years post graduate experience of hydrogeology-related projects. Experience of field-based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision; pumping test supervision and analysis; data analytics, scripting and numerical groundwater modelling; or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis would be considered an advantage. The candidate will support projects across the UK and internationally with the roles being based in either Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury or Birmingham.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills in site activities, factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation of results. The individual will be expected to demonstrate an ability to produce high quality oral and written communications. Good time management and presentation skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to work within our busy and dynamic team.
