Stantec’s Management Consulting Group in the Middle East is looking for an a result oriented and dynamic Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) Strategy Specialist to work closely with our client in a transformation journey for their ITS Operation and Maintenance Departments with a specific focus on ITS Innovations and ITS Strategy development .

Your Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Stantec Team in delivering transformational work as part of our Management Consulting Group in Qatar, supporting and advising our client in the development of ITS Innovation strategy and program. The candidate for this position will be working from our client’s office and is a client-facing position to provide management consulting service to our client.

•\tSupport and advise the client Management in the development of an ITS Innovation Lab and ITS Innovation Corridor in the State of Qatar. This includes the development of a strategy to support the implementation of the Client’s innovation test and training lab.

•\tConduct research and identify and engage with Technology Vendors and Research entities to support the ITS Innovation strategy and program.

•\tSupport the Client’s Innovation team in the management of Pilot schemes including the development of business cases by Technology Vendors and Research entities.

•\tPrepare Technology briefs on new technologies related to the latest Innovations in the ITS field for the Client’s Innovation implementation team.

•\tCoordinate and carry out discussions and meetings with the Road Management Centre Operations and other ITS infrastructure Teams to ensure the Client’s Innovation program and challenges are up to date.

•\tIdentify, analyze, and study existing data sources and sets.

•\tInterpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing management and clients reports.

•\tWork with management to prioritize business information needs.

•\tProduce presentations, circulars and other marketing material to promote achievements of the business.

•\tPresent to external and internal stakeholders at all levels to accomplish the Client’s program goals.

•\tCreate and update project progress schedules.

Title:

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Strategy Specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, ITS, or ITS related Field.

• Master’s degree from a Western Country would be considered beneficial.

• Minimum 10 Years Post-Graduate Experience is required.

• Registration with Global ITS Association(s), Certification in ITS field is preferred.

• Awareness of current technologies in the ITS field. Prior experience with developing and implementing ITS Innovations would be beneficial.

• Exposure to analytical data and proficiency in working with MS Excel, MS Access, and overall understanding of database management are essential.

• Understanding ITS utilization in transportation and traffic management is considered an asset.

• Capturing and amending process flow diagrams using Visio or similar.

• Managing SharePoint and/or Office 365 applications is considered an asset.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills to develop dynamic stories and present analyses is required.

• Well-developed written communication skills in the preparation of presentations, technical reports, correspondence, and proposals are mandatory.

• Working knowledge of road operations and maintenance contracts or procurement and supply chain management is considered an asset.

• Exposure to and experience with Road Operations Centre would be considered an asset.

• Experience working with management consultants is a strong asset.

• Conducting research on Innovative ITS technologies in the field of traffic and transportation.
