Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Benefits Data Team Lead to join our passionate, collaborative and results-driven team. As part of the HR Talent Services team of subject matter experts focused on the employee experience, the Benefits Data Team Lead will lead a team of data analysts and ensure accuracy and integrity of our benefits data.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an understanding of all North American benefit programs to enable streamlined administration of all data elements.

  • Manage collection, validation, and analysis of benefits data (inclusive but not limited to: US and Canadian benefit premium reconciliation, funding and loans related to our retirement plans) resulting in accurate payroll application and a positive employee experience.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders (including Payroll and Technology partners) both internally and externally to ensure that our benefits data is up-to-date and accurate.

  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and processes.

  • Resolve any issues in a timely manner.

  • Develop and run reports as needed (using Oracle and other benefit vendor reporting capabilities).

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, such as ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA is a plus.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Travel may be required from time to time, expected at 10%.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $103,800 - $155,800 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
