Your Opportunity

Stantec’s New York City office has an immediate need for a Bridge Inspector Assistant Team Leader. The position will work out of our 5th Avenue office. This position is for an individual looking to challenge themselves on a professional level on a variety of transportation projects and grow their bridge inspection experience. You will have the opportunity to learn, work on exciting and multi-faceted projects, and grow your career.

Your Key Responsibilities

• The work will include field inspection of various bridges in the New York City (NYC) Metro.

• You will be responsible for meeting the demands of high-profile clients, including NYSDOT, Port Authority of NY & NJ, TBTA, and NYCDOT.

• You will work with a qualified Inspection Team Leader to perform bridge condition evaluation and documentation.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Completed NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop or 2 week NHI course

• Preferred: SPRAT-Certified Level I Technician or willingness to attend training for certification

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Available for flexible hours including nights and weekends

• Valid driver's license

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and working toward licensure. Minimum 2 years of previous bridge inspection experience desired.

Salary Range(s):

• $86,600.00 - $125,600.00 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
