Stantec have an opportunity for a Project Engineer in our Energy Team, as a result of recent successes and the development of new projects and clients. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes etc.

In this role you will be involved in the whole project life cycle, from optioneering through to detailed design and installation. You will be involved with feasibility studies, site surveys and investigations. You will work collaboratively with clients, partners and other team members to develop designs and project-wide solutions across a wide variety of projects across Stantec’s Energy and Resources sector.

You will be joining a growing and collaborative team, working in partnership with a variety of clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We have ambitious growth plans and as a result there are lots of great development opportunities within our teams. This is an opportunity to play an important part in the U.K. energy transition.

Stantec Energy Transition - UK

Although this role will focus on the energy and resources sector, there will also be opportunities to benefit from a wide variety of projects across other sectors including water, wastewater, infrastructure and environmental, as part of Stantec’s Technical Design Services community.

About You

You will have experience within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field and be either chartered or be working towards chartered status.

This is a technical role. Our team are routinely engaged in producing technical specifications, schedules and reports. We support collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. You should have a good understanding of a number of these activities and be happy to communicate technical updates to clients and team members.

Our team will be expected to create specifications and scoping documents for award of construction packages and assess vendor designs and progress.Ideally you would demonstrate some experience in these areas.
