Stantec Director of Transport Planning - North of England in Leeds, United Kingdom

We are currently seeking an experienced Director to lead our North of England Transport Planning team within our Transport Group. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious group with exciting growth plans. This role can be based in the following locations:-

• Warrington

• Manchester

• Leeds

• Newcastle

We are fortunate to work with excellent clients across some of the UK’s most exciting Transport Projects. Our client-focused and result-driven approach has enhanced our reputation in the market and now we seek an experienced individual to lead the team in the years to come.

This is an opportunity to grow a local team in the North while focusing on public sector transport planning opportunities. Building from key framework agreements we have secured, you will lead and develop business with Sub National Transport bodies in the North and Midlands.

You will identify the future direction that the team should be pursuing and drive the expansion and development of our portfolio through a network of strong, proven, client relationships.

You will utilise your proven business development experience and your knowledge of the Northern Transport Planning market to further grow our presence by identifying and securing new opportunities. You will also play a role in providing technical leadership for our multi-disciplinary delivery teams.

About You

You will be a Chartered Transport Planning Professional or equivalent with a relevant Degree qualification.

With a strong client facing ethos, you will have considerable experience and presence in the local marketplace, with a particular focus on key regional public sector clients and the public transport, transport appraisal and business case markets. You will have a strong network in the North of England & demonstrable experience in work winning from strategic Frameworks and securing new business opportunities.

Most importantly, you will have the ambition and passion to grow our team, deliver and build upon the existing projects within our portfolio and identify new opportunities in the market.
