Are you an experienced CAD Technician that is looking for a new challenge? Interested in working with one of the most progressive Engineering consultancies in the UK? Then look no further.

Stantec are seeking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician to join a team in our Leeds office, specialising in water projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy.

As a CAD Technician you will be self-motivated and responsible for supporting the Digital Delivery team locally and potentially UK wide. Working under a Regional Disciple Lead (RDL), you will provide technical design support to our Engineering team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Duties will include:

  • Collaborating with engineers from multi disciplines.

  • Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.

  • Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.

  • Working within the Common Data Environments for your CAD data with ISO19650 compliance.

About you

Ideally you will have a minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent subjects and have experience of working on water engineering projects. In addition, you will also have:

  • Experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise

  • Used Civil3D for earthworks and pipeline profiles.

  • Used Revit for creating, amending structures and plant.

  • Ability to organise your workload across multiple projects

  • Ability to mentor junior staff supporting your region
