The Role: Finance Manager

Control the accounting and reporting for Stantec’s business and operations managed from Türkiye, covering both Türkiye and the other countries in which Türkiye manages projects.

Ensure that all Stantec accounting policies and reporting requirements are met, and that an effective financial and operational control environment is maintained. Provide an accurate and insightful commentary on business performance and developments.

Actively support commercial management in day-to-day decisions, including bids, variations, project reviews, and revenue & profit recognition. Support the development of business strategy. This role is a key interface between Global Finance, Management and Operations.

Be capable of driving improvements in revenue, profitability, receivables collection, cost control and other KPIs.

Ensure compliance with:

• Turkish statutory requirements (particularly in respect of financial reporting and taxation).

• Taxation and other regulatory requirements in countries in which Türkiye manages projects.

• Project requirements in terms of documentation, invoicing, taxation etc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for monthly reporting, including preparation, analysis and commentary on the results & KPIs, and participation in performance review meetings (eg, COO meetings).

• Able to lead presentations & discussions of the commercial & financial performance with a group of senior managers & executives.

• Lead the overall management reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes at business unit and legal entity levels.

• Oversee the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of transactional & accounting processes, and the effectiveness of the financial and operational control environment.

• Oversee working capital position, co-ordinating payments from customers, and driving improvements in Türkiye's unbilled & billed DSO targets.

• Monitor the costs & overheads of the business and develop / implement plans to improve efficiency where appropriate.

• Manage the tax and treasury position for Türkiye, working with colleagues from group finance as needed.

• Liaise with external auditors on both group & local audits.

• Actively participate in key commercial decisions & processes (eg, pricing, bids, variations, risk calls) to ensure that the business has appropriate financial data to make decisions, which drive improvements in revenue growth, profitability and cash collection.

• Inspire, manage and develop the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent), with 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Advanced analytical skills, with a focus on results and performance, able to quickly identify issues / variances and resolve them.

• Strong team and cross-functional management skills.

• Fluent in Turkish and English.
