About the role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Community Development team to be based in either of our offices in Geelong or Ballarat. Working as part of our design team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers and drafters to deliver variety of infrastructure projects. You will work with a team who are passionate about the delivering solutions in all facets of urban, commercial, land development and civil infrastructure projects.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Civil engineering design and documentation for urban development, commercial, land development, transport and civil infrastructure projects.

  • Manage the design, planning and development phases of various projects.

  • Development of concept and detail designs for land subdivisions incorporating drainage, road, earthworks etc.

  • Oversee and manage projects to ensure work output is of a technically high standard and activities are commercially viable for the business.

  • Provide specialist technical input and advice into feasibility studies complex technical applications.

Qualifications

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering combined with demonstrated 8 to 10 years’ experience within a consulting environment

  • Thorough knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation and Australian Standards

  • Water authority (MRWA) and VicRoads accreditation would be preferable

  • Strong interpersonal and supervision skills, broad communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and encourage collaboration

  • Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
