Stantec along with joint venture partner Ryan Hanley, are excited to have been appointed to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture will support Irish Water’s Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.

We are now recruiting in Ireland and are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with experience in the water industry to join us. We are seeking driven individuals who love to challenge conventional thinking to join our growing, collaborative team of professionals working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We are flexible with location so the position can be based in Dublin or elsewhere.

You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team spread across the UK and Ireland, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects as part of a major capital investment programme. Day to day you will provide technical solutions and advice, and support to Senior Engineer, Project Managers and Team Leaders. You will provide technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and Stantec expectation.

You will work within professional and collaborative teams all with the same aim of delivering world class solutions for our clients and the communities around us. On a personal level, you will learn and develop, and our goal is to aid your career progression and increase your job satisfaction.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject with experience within the water industry. You must also be Chartered or working toward Chartership with a relevant engineering institution e.g. IEI, ICE, CIWEM.

Ideally, you’ll have previous consultancy experience and experience of managing civil engineers and co-ordinating with other technical professionals to achieve holistic technical outcomes. Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.

We are seeking civil engineers across all areas of water and wastewater infrastructure / networks and treatment. Due to the nature of upcoming projects, ideally, you will also have experience in one or more of these technical areas:

• Wastewater Treatment

• Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design

• Service Reservoirs

• Clean Water Treatment
