Stantec Surveyor in Doha, Qatar
Stantec Qatar is currently seeking a Surveyor for construction supervision project of a Trunk Sewer and Terminal Pumping Station at Doha North.
Key Duties and Tasks:
- Inspection / supervising of project activities / works.
• Highly experienced in Total Station and their associated software.
• Use of AutoCAD and other related software.
2.Collaboration and working as part of a team.
•Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
•Work under the direction of the Project Manager;
•Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations
•Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
3.Client Service Management
•Internal and external client liaison
•Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships
•Experience in utility diversions and management
4.Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
•Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
•Design for safety, i.e. Construction Design Management.
5.Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.
1.Bachelor's Degree and/ or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited University to the approval of the Engineer.
- 10 years experience with sewerage, pumps, treatment plants
in all aspects of setting-out and surveying of similar construction projects;
- Must be proficient with the latest surveying instrumentation and techniques as
appropriate to deep underground structures projects.
- Must be capable of working collaboratively with the Contractor's staff to share
information, provide constructive challenge and ensure the highest level of tunnel and
- Particular emphasis on Micro tunneling works, procedures, Alignment setup ,
monitoring micro tunnel site activities.
Familiar with Qatar construction standards
15 years of total experience
- Proactive acumen and ability to manage multiple work areas on site are essential.
