Your Opportunity
The Payroll Tax Analyst will support our payroll tax functions across multiple legal entities. The Payroll Tax Analyst must be experienced with U.S. and multi-state payrolls, federal, state, and local tax preparation and filings. Expectations include working with third party provider (ADP) in the accurate filing of tax liabilities, responding to tax notices, testing tax updates to the Oracle payroll system, transmitting and receiving files from additional third-party vendors, and the handling of specific employee tax situations and set up.
Your Key Responsibilities
Utilize ADP Smart Compliance to transmit tax files, monitor and correct payroll tax exceptions, maintain company tax profiles and track tax notices to ensure proper resolution
Maintain SIT & SUI & Local account information such as account numbers, online logins & password, SUI rates, new tax applications, etc
Verify proper payroll tax set-up and withholding for employees within the Oracle payroll system and make corrections as needed
Point of contact for general tax questions from employees and payroll administrators
Perform reconciliations and other functions utilizing intermediate Excel skills
Run, upload, and update reports to and from other third-party vendors
Payroll tax research as needed
Assist on special projects, audits, process documentation and improvements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
2 years In-house payroll experience utilizing a major ERP system (i.e. Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft) Oracle preferred
ADP and Smart Compliance experience (preferred)
Experience with U.S. expat, U.S. Territories and Canada (preferred)
Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize on demand
Self-paced, independent worker with a strong sense of accountability
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent, service orientated, customer service skills
Able to work in a high-pressure, team-work focused environment
CPP or FPC preferred
Global Mobility experience (preferred)
A desire to learn and create efficiencies
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate to advanced software skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivots, lookups, functions, filtering, and sorting
Basic proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years payroll, auditing, tax or accounting experience
4 years of multi-state payroll experience with companies having 5,000 employees
2 years audit or accounting experience within a payroll or accounting function, including demonstrated use of critical thinking, problem solving and analytics
Position will primarily work remotely from home.
