Your Opportunity:

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer in our Coral Gables, Florida office. We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, and strong design capabilities. We seek a candidate with expertise with highly complex and specialized roadway and drainage design including limited access tolled and non-tolled facilities and arterial roadway design. This candidate will be part of our roadway design practice in the Coral Gables, Florida office.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Effectively negotiate, plan, monitor and deliver quality projects and consulting services.

  • Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures; and review plans for conformance with FDOT design standards.

  • Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals.

  • Plan and organize the work of subordinates and staff members in multiple offices.

  • Lead roadway plans preparation and development efforts as the engineer of record.

  • Direct highly complex and specialized roadway and drainage design engineering projects on an areawide basis including limited access tolled and non-tolled facilities, as well as, arterial roadway projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Ability to work in MicroStation, Geopak and 3D Engineering Modeling software.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred.

  • Experience in the preparation of presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Experienced developing, negotiating, and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staff.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Florida or the ability to attain within 6 months.

  • 4 years related experience in Transportation roadway design.
