About the role
This is an exciting time of growth and development in Stantec. We are looking for a senior traffic and transport professional who wants to be a part of this expansion. We are looking for someone with skills in some or all of the following areas to enhance our team in Christchurch:
•\tTransport Impact Assessments
•\tTransport infrastructure & facility planning
•\tTraffic data collection, modelling and analysis
•\tParking, access and accessibility
•\tDesign and operational solutions
•\tLand-use and development planning
•\tSmart cities, complete streets, sustainable travel
•\tReporting and presentation
This is your chance to take that next step into a challenging role and use your technical know-how together with your strong investigation, analytical and report writing skills to deliver excellent service to our key and emerging clients in New Zealand.
Day to day tasks would involve:
•\tUndertaking, reporting on, and presenting to a wide range of transport projects, including new retail areas and industrial complexes
•\tInitiating and supporting business development
•\tConfirming project engagements including project scope and budgets
•\tParticipation in the supervision, growth and development of Stantec’s transportation professionals.
Senior Traffic Engineering/Transport Planning Consultant, Christchurch
To be successful for this role you'll need:
•\tBachelor’s Degree or equivalent
•\tBe a chartered professional engineer (or equivalent) or working toward professional registration with EngNZ or an equivalent professional body
•\tSound experience at a professional level in the transportation industry
•\tConfident and capable communicator
•\tDemonstrated knowledge of business and project finances
•\tExcellent investigation, analytical and report writing skills
•\tExperience in project management of large, technically complex projects
•\tAdvanced time management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
•\tExperience in the private sector desirable
•\tAble to build trust and provide support to peers and clients
