This is a paid internship with full or part-time hours during the Summer of 2023. This is an office position; limited teleworking (if any) is anticipated. Internships available in Cincinnati, Columbus and Chicago.
Your Key Responsibilities
An interest in transportation engineering planning, design and construction.
Support our roadway design, airport design and structural engineering groups
Support our roadway construction engineering groups in the field
Conducts basic calculations and assist in developing engineer's estimates
Assist team in preparing CAD drawings and reports
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Detail-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil design
Education and Experience
Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree engineering program
Previous experience in Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Previous experience with MicroStation/Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus
Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
