Description

Stantec Architecture, Inc., Healthcare Design Coordinator (Multiple Positions), Chandler, AZ. Conceptualize and develop a building design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget and program. Develop a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats to express the design intent and communicate to project team, client, and building user groups. Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components. Participate in design critiques and constructability reviews. Present the design with the Project Manager to stakeholders during early project phases. Evaluate and select building systems and materials. Coordinate building systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Implement sustainable design principles into the design and environment. Analyze site incorporating geotechnical, hydrological, environmental, social, economic and contextual conditions. Participate in development of the program and other pre-design efforts. Ensure that design intent is maintained through documentation and construction. Assist others in project team setting and design critiques and pin-ups. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). #GTM

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Working with healthcare or institutional clients; Interpreting sketches, drawings, codes, and building programs; Applying accessibility codes, applicable building codes, and life-safety codes; Producing and delivering design and documentation in BIM strategy; Building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards; and Using Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Newforma, and Sefaira.

Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 15%.
