Our team of brilliant specialists have helped the Water group to thrive in meeting the water supply and treatment needs for our clients across sectors, is seeking a Senior BIM Integration Specialist, contributing to development and implementation of BIM best practices and process improvement.

You will also act as SME for design modeling software use and set up best practices; provide user support and training and assist leadership and project management in strategic pursuits and project planning to ensure expectations are clear and scope is defined for successful project execution and client satisfaction. Your core focus will be to provide leadership, technical expertise, and consistency of product and process in support of design delivery.

Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. While the successful candidate will be based in one of our offices across Canada, we do offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the VP of the Water Delivery Center, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Mentoring / supervising other BIM Leads and or CAD BIM staff in Canada and US.

  • Coordinate with discipline leaders, and other leadership across North America to educate regions on the services offered by the delivery center, build working relationships, and promote cultural change.

  • Participate in staff selection, training, evaluations, and performance management.

  • Collaborate with PMs and Discipline Leaders to promote work-sharing and import and export personnel as required to deliver projects throughout the business successfully.

  • Assign, review and evaluate work for technical accuracy and completeness; and advise on technical problems.

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of CAD/BIM standards including templates, guides, and training documentation.

  • Coordinate training with software application specialty leads, providers, PTSG, staff

  • Develop procedures and documentation around CAD/BIM project setup, including Digital Execution plans, CAD/BIM/Digital Delivery guides and Common Data environments.

  • Facilitate staff training on existing and new technologies.

  • Working with Leadership to facilitate organizational change.

  • Work with Water’s Innovation Team to promote emerging technologies.

  • Work with Water’s Innovation Team and PTSG to troubleshoot software issues.

  • Work with Stantec’s PTSG group and other BOU’s to represent Water in Community of Practice meetings.

  • Acts as liaison for BIM related subject matter both internally and externally.

  • Provides direction and assistance to project teams with project scope, approach, setup, and delivery including the develop and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BXP), model matrices, and other supporting digital scope documentation.

  • Develops families and other electronic content in collaboration with the greater digital practice team to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Prepare 3D models and detailed drawings of proposed plans, facilities, and infrastructure.

  • Coordination with other Disciplines Designers and Engineers as applicable.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • An Engineering Technology Diploma, Degree or equivalent technology diploma experience.

  • Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.

  • Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.

  • Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, are able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, and Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint

  • Experienced in CAD/BIM software Civil 3D and/or Revit,

  • Experienced in Common Data Environments ACC and/or ProjectWise.

  • Experience in following considered an asset:

  • Bentley Open Applications

  • Autodesk ACC and ProjectWise

  • Navisworks or ITWIN

  • AI and chatbot technology

Education and Experience

  • An Engineering Technology Diploma, Degree or equivalent technology diploma experience.

  • Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.

  • 15 years of related experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of CAD/BIM software

Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • Lower Mainland $95,800 - Lower Mainland $143,700 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
