Your Key Responsibilities

In your role as Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Designer, you will gain experience through varied engineering assignments and implementation of engineering best practices and technical applications. Our committed senior engineers will support you as you gain experience and knowledge of engineering principles to prepare design that marry function and innovation. Typical responsibilities under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers include:
Assist with the preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications and reports
Coordinate with other disciplines for integrated designs
Provide Revit design support
Perform field work to review and document existing conditions
Performs basic calculations to analyze and design individual building mechanical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Perform code review research with guidance from senior staff
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Basic understanding of Revit and/or AutoCAD, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD
Experience with Newforma, Trane Trace or eQuest is a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering. Minimum of 0-5 years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
