Stantec Corporate Counsel in Bristol, United Kingdom

To support our growth, we are seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team in Bristol.

We can offer you a welcoming environment to work in, and the opportunity to play an important role in our business. This is a good opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative team providing critical support for Stantec globally.

You will provide overall legal support to the business covering an exciting mix of transactional support to contracts with our clients to a wide range of corporate matters which could adapt around your own skills and career growth with Stantec but could include areas such as claims, employment, property, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, however experience now in all these areas is not a prerequisite.

You will partner with business leaders to help them grow but whilst ensuring compliance with applicable laws and being part of the Stantec Inc public company group. You will manage and mitigate legal risks, draft and negotiate a variety of agreements and generally support an exciting growing business.

You will have the support of the senior members of the Legal Team and will have the opportunity to play a key role for us through the integration period and beyond. You will also be part of Legal team which looks after all regions outside of North America, so there is plenty of opportunity for diversity, growth and interest.

ABOUT YOU

You will be qualified with a relevant legal professional qualification. We are open as to whether you are qualified in the UK or elsewhere.

You will have an understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices and an interest in working for a public company (Stantec is listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges). You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. We are very open to considering candidates from a wide range of PQE levels and experience backgrounds.

You will have the ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners. You will have a high degree of self-management, initiative, reliability and flexibility to ensure that the best possible service is given to internal and external clients.
