Your Opportunity

Branding Iron at Stantec is seeking a talented graphic designer with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our highly collaborative team in Boston, Massachusetts. Our ideal candidate has a portfolio of thoughtful digital and print designs, 2-5 years of agency experience and a BA in a design-related field.

This is a full-time position that requires strong conceptual and typographic skills, a passion for creating targeted designs and the ability to follow-through with well-executed solutions. A familiarity with web programming, environmental signage design and/or copywriting are a big plus.

Your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Senior Art Directors on conceptualizing, developing, and refining comprehensive brand campaigns.

  • Understand the client's communication goals, audience, and guidelines to create thoughtful and strategic designs for websites, digital content, and print collateral.

  • Designing logos, websites, mood boards, e-blasts, digital banner ads and print collateral of all kinds.

  • Clearly and eloquently communicate creative concepts to team and clients.

  • Contribute to the team's creative process and help build the studio's infrastructure with a hands-on and collaborative approach.

  • Manage projects, contact clients, and ensure that deadlines are met, and projects are completed effectively.

  • Multi-task with multiple projects at different stages and manage prioritization of work.

  • Accurately and carefully prepare files for web and print.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proficiency in print and digital media using the Adobe Creative Suite on the Mac platform

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ agency experience.

This position is hybrid, you will work in the office with the team 2-3 days per week, and from home 2-3 days. Our new office is in the heart of Boston, steps away from Post Office Square, the Old State House, Downtown Crossing and Faneuil Hall. The office is a commuter’s dream, being only a 5-min walk from all subway lines (Red, Orange, Green, and Blue), and within easy walking distance from both North and South Stations and many coffee and dining options. Office amenities include secure bike storage, a shower room, lockers, and employee lounge space looking over historic architectural buildings and features of downtown Boston. The building recently opened their fitness center space on the lower level, accessible 24/7.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
