Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to serve our government, industrial, and commercial clients from our Ashland, Virginia Office. This is a great opportunity for an individual with diverse abilities and interests to develop professionally in a stable and growing environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare site designs and construction plan sets if desired

  • Complete hydraulic models

  • Work with client/project manager

  • Assist with the management of on-call services contracts


Your Credentials and Capabilities

  • Excellent writing skills

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience (in school or on the job)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness and an ability to travel and stay overnight occasionally

  • Experience or interest in project and task management and budgeting

  • Experience or interest in design and construction oversight

  • Hold or be able to obtain an E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) Certification in the near feature

  • Acceptable motor vehicle record

Your Education and Experience

B.S. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field.

Experience in Environmental Engineering/Water Resources/Water Engineering is preferred; including water and wastewater systems engineering, project management of water/wastewater design/build projects (all phases)

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
